Where do the proceeds from the ReStore sales go?
Proceeds from the sale of donated building materials support Habitat for Humanity's mission to provide simple decent housing to low and very-low income families in Ventura County.
Is the ReStore open to the public?
Absolutely! We invite everyone to stop in and shop at our ReStore. The store is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Are my donations tax-deductible?
A donation receipt is given at the time of your drop-off or left by our driver.
Does the ReStore place a value on the items we donate?
No! You place the value on your donations.
Do you pick up items?
Yes! If you have several items which are too large to fit in your personal vehicle - and the items are accepted by our store -- we can schedule a pick up. We service Ventura County, so please give us a call to schedule.
How can I schedule a pick up for donated items?
Call the ReStore at (805) 981-2268 or 805-485-6065, x206 to schedule a pickup.
How are the items priced at the ReStore?
Most items are 50-75% below retail.
Where do items come from?
Donations come from businesses, contractors, and builders, and homeowners.
How often do you get new merchandise?
Inventory changes daily.
What items don't you accept?
We do not accept paint, single-pane windows, upholstered furniture, or appliances more than 5 years old, unless they are in excellent working condition. If you have any questions about a donation item, please call 805-485-6065, x206.
How can my business get involved?
Reduce surplus by donating supplies. Giving back begins when you donate your new or gently used, surplus, or salvaged materials to Habitat. Or, bring a group of volunteers to the store to help out with receiving, stocking shelves, pricing and more! For more information call our Volunteer Coordinator at (805) 485-6065, extension 205.
How can I help the ReStore?
You can reduce surplus by donating supplies, reuse items by shopping at the store, and recycling to protect our natural resources. Remember to tell your family and friends about the great deals offered at the ReStore. And, the Habitat ReStore is always looking for volunteers to help with stocking shelves, picking up donations, and general store upkeep. Your cash donations also help the ReStore.
