Disney's "Give-A-Day, Get-A-Day" Program

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us. Due to the overwhelming response to this program, we are scrambling to provide an opportunity for everyone who is interested. We highly encourage you to research other volunteer opportunities in your area, as many nonprofit organizations are in dire need of volunteers. Please contact Matt Gilling, Director of Volunteer Services, if you have questions regarding specific opportunities. We cannot provide any information regarding the Disney program requirements to receive the voucher. You will have to get this information from the "HandsOn Network" website.

In order to volunteer with our organization, someone in your family must register in our volunteer database. Please see the front page of our website and click on Volunteer UP in the upper left-hand corner. This site will let you complete a profile of which volunteer opportunities you would like to participate in, sign you up for our bi-weekly eMailer with all the latest information concerning our affiliate and give you access to the volunteer calendar containing all upcoming volunteer opportunities and events. You can then pick a day/event that you would like to volunteer for and then just click on it and you will be registered. One person can register up to 4 other people. Our volunteer opportunities are limited and our guidelines are strict. We cannot accept walk-up volunteers, so you must be registered on Volunteer UP or you will not be able to volunteer on that day. The following guidelines apply to some or all of our volunteer opportunities:

1. Minimum age for volunteering on one of our Construction Sites is 16 years old, no exceptions.
2. Minimum age for volunteering in the ReStore is 12 years old with adult supervision.
3. You may not wear open-toed shoes, sandals or flip-flops.
4. You may not wear any dangling jewelry.
5. IPODs or any device with ear buds are not allowed at any time.

We apologize if these rules seem restrictive, but our volunteer's safety is our primary concern. Thank you again for your willingness to support our mission of ending poverty housing in Ventura County!
