Special Event Team Description

Primary Function:
Provide knowledge and expertise to plan and execute special events, such as the 25th Anniversary of Habit for Humanity of Ventura County, The home and Garden Show and one time events.

Commitment:
Approximately 8-16 hours per month for minimum of one year.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to creatively see the end result and the steps needed to perform the tasks necessary to put together a successful event.
  • Develop events to increase donor and consumer base.
  • Partner with Public Relations team to develop and guide their publicity efforts.
  • Create signature event to be repeated each year.
  • Provide documentation and support for dedications, kick-off events, ground breaking and home shows, etc.
  • Develop impressive and convincing collateral materials for events.
  • Identify and recruit potential donors and partners to facilitate HfH's special event needs.
  • Increase positive media coverage of the affiliate.
  • Provide a monthly status report to the Board.
  • Serve as a representative of HFHVC in their community.

    Qualifications and Skills:
  • Planning skills a must.
  • Warm, friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
