Paula and John Hurtado have called their house home for more than 30 years, but time and wear have taken their toll.

The roof began to leak, and despite their best efforts, the repairs were simply beyond their reach.

“We made it through the rainy season with the help of you guys,” said John, Habitat Home Repair Recipient.

Thanks to the generosity of friends, volunteers, and supporters, Habitat Ventura’s Home Repair Program was able to step in.

We replaced their roof, patched termite damage, and secured the structural integrity of their home. Now, Paula and John no longer have to worry every time it rains.

John even told us that every time he looks up at the new roof, it brings him peace of mind.
