The 7th annual National Women Build challenged women to devote at least one day during May 3-11 to help build and repair affordable housing in their local communities. More than 13,000 women – and Lowe’s Heroes – from across the country volunteered at Habitat for Humanity construction sites. Locally, more than 40 volunteers descended upon the Casa del Norte Mobile Home Community in Camarillo to give a hand up in building wheelchair ramps and swapping out single pane windows for safer, more energy efficient dual pane windows.
Our sincerest thanks go to Camarillo City Council Members, Charlotte Craven and Jan McDonald for joining us in the morning to kick off the work day.

Thank you to Lowe’s and all of our National Women Build Week partners and builders for helping us build homes and hope! Special thanks are in order for Margaret Adams, who manages the Casa del Norte Mobile Home Community and BJ’s Restaurant in Westlake Village for providing an awesome lunch.
