Playhouse Build Blitz

We invite you to join us for our annual Habitat Ventura Playhouse Build Blitz! Our Playhouse Build Blitz is a unique opportunity for multiple teams to work together to construct and decorate children's playhouses, which are donated the same day to military and first-responder families with young children in Ventura County.

Our Playhouse Build Blitz will be an impactful day that your team will cherish! Sponsors and participants will be asked to build, paint, and decorate children's playhouses to selected themes on the event day. Habitat Ventura staff and volunteer leadership will be nearby all day to guide you and your team through the entire process.

We will provide all the materials you need: paint, paintbrushes, rollers, tools, protective paper/plastic, safety equipment, and cleaning supplies. If you want to include stickers, decals, stencils, or exact colors in your design, you are welcome to bring those additional materials!

At the end of the day, participants will get the opportunity to interact with the military and first-responder families who arrive and receive their completed playhouses. In many cases, the playhouses are a surprise to the children, and their reactions are priceless! We will match you with a local military or first-responder family and provide their preferred theme and list of family interests that will help you design a one-of-a-kind playhouse. This playhouse will be given to the family at no cost. ALL proceeds raised by the event will provide direct support for our programs that help families obtain safe, affordable housing and critical home repairs in Ventura County.
