Meet Saul & Paulina

In December 2025, eight hardworking families experienced the joy of spending the holidays in their very own homes for the first time at Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County’s new Vista Campanario community in Camarillo.

One of those families is Saul and Paulina’s.

For the last six years, they’ve juggled family life while living apart, unable to find an affordable home big enough and safe enough for their family of six. Family dinners required scheduling, and all the moments between school and bedtime were being lost in the constant back and forth.

After receiving the call last year that they had been chosen for a Habitat home, Saul and Paulina got to work. They helped build their own home at Vista Campanario, and soon they’ll unlock the front door together for the very first time, as first-generation homeowners.

“That’s what I’m most excited about,” Paulina said. “Having family over and showing them that we made it.”
