Donate your used car or vehicle. Donations to Habitat for Humanity’s Cars for Homes™ program help local Habitat for Humanity affiliates build and rehabilitate houses in partnership with families in need. All net revenue generated from the sale of donated vehicles is distributed to local Habitat for Humanity affiliates where donors live or, if specifically designated, to an affiliate of your choice.
All vehicles are welcome. Cars for Homes™ accepts cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles and construction equipment. Vehicles are accepted whether they run or not.
Donating a vehicle is quick and easy! It’s an easy three-step process to recycle your used cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, construction equipment or other vehicles.
What are the tax benefits of donating a vehicle? Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. If you itemize deductions on your income tax return, you may be entitled to deduct the gross sales value of your donated vehicle. Donors will receive appropriate receipts and should consult their tax advisor and/or the IRS to determine benefits.
Processing vehicle donations: All vehicle donations are processed by Advanced Remarketing Services, Inc., and sold on behalf of Habitat for Humanity. Typically, a donated vehicle is picked up within 2 or 3 days after the title is received. Online donations speed up the process. The online Donation Wizard will tell you what documents are required in your state.
