Meet Lali and Tony
Lali, Tony and their 3 children are currently living in a small, deteriorating apartment in Oxnard where they all share the same bedroom due to the high cost of housing. Both parents work but Lali felt she couldn’t provide her children the living conditions needed for them to thrive. This year, thanks to you, everything changed. Just a few months ago, Lali and her family were selected for a Habitat home and are now contributing their “sweat equity” alongside 5 other deserving families as they build their affordable homes in the La Colonia neighborhood of Oxnard.
For Lali and many other families in Ventura County, a safe, affordable home is empowering and lives are positively changed for generations. The need for affordable housing has never been greater and there are many more families in Ventura County that need our help. Habitat Ventura County is the only developer building 100% affordable homes for purchase by hard-working, low-income families in our area.
