Family Partner – This individual or team works with the newly selected homeowners/family to guide them through their responsibility to complete sweat equity, homeownership education, closing process, move-in/adjustment to new responsibilities and continued partnership. Read more.
Office Positions – Responsibilities vary, but include data entry, thank you letters, special projects, and more. Though training on systems will be provided, a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is helpful. Organizational and time management skills a plus.
Community Events – These volunteers staff a Habitat Ventura County table or booth at various community events, e.g. Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks Street Fairs, Tamale Festival, Ventura Hammer Half-Marathon & 6K Run, etc.
The *Event Team handles occasions as varied as Women Build, Cocktails in Havana, Hearts & Hammers dinner and auction, Plug-In with Habitat events, and more.
