Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County extends their heartfelt thanks to Mount Cross Lutheran Church for their many contributions over the years and a very generous donation!
In conjunction with the “Thrivent Builds” home in Santa Paula, the church’s Service and Missions committee designated Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County as their “Gifts of Hope” recipient for 2014. They set an initial goal of $3,000 and quickly raised it to $4,000.
The final number? They more than doubled their initial goal, raising a total of $6,700.
In addition to raising money through their fund-a-need program, “buy a door, window or nails,” Mount Cross invited their congregation to “donate volunteers hours” to help Habitat build homes and provide more families with safe, decent, affordable housing.
