Last Sunday, we celebrated our regular and dedicated volunteers by throwing them a Hawaiian themed party! Several volunteers received certificates for various achievements, including 100, 200 and 500 hour awards. This year’s Habitat Hero Awards for Outstanding Service went to Karen & Mike Turek, Raini Steffen and Lynn Meredith. Congratulations everyone! We are so grateful for you all.
We also said a fond farewell to our much-loved Volunteer Manager, Tricia Keen, who retired at the end of the month. After almost 3 years with us at Habitat, Tricia’s contribution went far beyond our volunteer program. With decades of non-profit experience, Tricia brought much wisdom and guidance to the team at Habitat and her impact on the organization is undeniable. We wish her the very best as she rocks retirement – she deserves it!
