Thank you to everyone who tuned in to our virtual Barry Street dedication on Saturday! We were thrilled to finally welcome our Barry Street families home and celebrate two more Habitat families completing the process of homeownership. The Morales-Castro and Lembo families are busy moving into their new homes this week and are excited to begin this new chapter of their lives. This opportunity would not have been possible without your generous support, and we are so grateful.

The dedication of a new Habitat home is an extraordinary occasion. It's a day where we celebrate our homeowners' accomplishments and the impact that stable and affordable housing has on people's lives. This home dedication was different than any we've held before -- due to COVID-19, we had to commemorate the day virtually. We are so grateful to everyone that joined us via Zoom on Saturday and helped to make this day extra-special. Even though we could not gather together in person, we were overwhelmed by the support and joy of those who attended.

A special thank you to a few generous supporters: thank you to all who wrote letters of well wishes to our families that filled their homes, Local Love for generously donating food and supplies, Home Depot for donating new tool kits, the Moorpark Women's Fortnightly Club for donating handmade blankets, Gordon and Melissa Henry for helping us prepare for this amazing day, and everyone that participated in our drive-by parade after the event on Saturday!

The completion of these homes is an accomplishment for all of us during one of the most challenging times in recent memory. Despite a global pandemic, event cancellations and closures, our families crossed the finish line! The building and the completion of these homes would not have been possible without YOUR SUPPORT! From all of us at HFHVC, we want to thank you for helping us build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter for these hardworking parents and their children.
